The task was to build a mobile application for a firm to help people in the United States and Canada choose presents. Personal occasions (such as birthdays or graduations), as well as common holidays, have to be managed via the company Android app (like Thanksgiving or Christmas). The concept is straightforward: You are sent to an online store via the app, where you may purchase any item for your mother, wife, or coworkers. During your assessment of the goods, the possible gift recipient is notified and given the option to score them, giving you a sense of how they feel about your choices. At the same time, you maintain your anonymity.

We had to develop an online shopping app with full UI/UX from scratch, we researched several similar solutions on the market before we began planning and designing. We examined all of the features developed by others before developing new ones that no one else has. Thus, the Present Box was developed, where you can locate all of the products that shoppers are contemplating for a prospective gift recipient for their unique event, but the gift recipient has no idea who the shoppers are – a viral feature that involves people in the gamification process.

We were not provided any mockups, of the entire project. Our creative team was ecstatic to be given such a chance to shine, so we jumped at the chance. Our team worked on all the little aspects to ensure that the application adheres to current trends and Google Material Design specifications. The consumer just needed to approve the final product.

One of the key benefits is that we provide recommendations (products) depending on the user’s preferences for the given occasion, leading them to what to buy – this simplifies the gift-finding process and increases the chance of success.

As previously said, this feature is a completely new communication technique that was developed as a result of extensive marketing research.
